The Clock Is Ticking: Two Months Until The War Begins

Syria

You may not be realizing this, but we`re living some historical moments here. In less than 60 days, we might be going to war again… and this one will not follow the same old “go-and-invade-some-Arab-country” formula. No, this time the enemy is ready to strike back tenfold.

Now, just to be clear: this is not some scare tactic Obama uses to keep us under terror, thus under control. This is not his game. The first move has already been made by someone else:

Chemical weapons

According to NBC News, there is evidence that the Syrian president Basah al-Assad is ready to drop chemical weapons on his own people, to stop rebel movements. And not just any chemical weapons, but the dreaded sarin bombs that cause convulsions, respiratory failure and death.

These bombs have been used before, in two Japanese attacks and also by Saddam Hussein, who used them against his own people, as well. So it`s nothing that hasn`t been done before. However, this time things will take a horrid turn for nations that shouldn`t even be in this war in the first place. And USA is on top of the list.

Consequences

Obama was talking to a group of nuclear proliferation experts when he said:

“The use of chemical weapons is, and would be, totally unacceptable and if you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences and you will be held accountable.”

And, just to make the whole circus complete, Hillary Clinton backed him up with a similar statement:

We have made our views very clear: this is a red line for the United States (…) I’m not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against their own people, but suffice it to say, we are certainly planning to take action if that eventuality were to occur.” (www.telegraph.co.uk)

None of them mentioned exactly what these consequences will be exactly, but check this out:

The USS Eisenhower

The plan is already unfolding. According to Russia Today, The USS Eisenhower (an American aircraft carrier that holds eight fighter bomber squadrons and 8,000 men), arrived at the Syrian coast yesterday, indicating US preparation for a potential ground intervention.

More to that, The Times reports that “the US is now ready to launch such action “within days” if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad decides to use chemical weapons against the opposition”. For that, they`ve got 10,000 fighting men, 17 warships, 70 fighter-bombers, 10 destroyers and frigates and a guided military cruises involved.

This means billions of dollars invested in war, instead of helping the US economy recover. This means more of our brave soldiers will die there, on a foreign land, instead of protecting their own fellow countrymen. And it also means that the age of terror is just about to start for all Americans, whether they support this war or not.

Because when you threaten the leader of an enemy-country, who just happens to build hundreds of chemical weapons to throw at his own people… you`d better expect to have your country on the blacklist, as well. If they`re willing to kill their own flesh and blood, they`ll be more than happy to terrorize their worst enemies…

And here`s the most frightening thing of all:

These bombs expire in 60 days after they`re built!

A senior U.S. official told Fox News this chemical mix expires in two months and, if not used, they will have to be destroyed. And let`s be serious: the Syrian government is not making bombs just to destroy them, for the fun of science. Which means that, any day now, the US could be sacrificing troops, a load of money… and, possibly, the American population… to get into a fight that we`re not supposed to be in.

Now, you tell me: how is Obama better than Basah al-Assad when, basically, they`re doing the same thing: sacrificing their own people to follow their political interests?

One Response to The Clock Is Ticking: Two Months Until The War Begins

  • You can't number the amount of Kurds Saddam killed with chemical weapons. 50,000 at least. We go into Iraq because Saddam was violating the treaty all the way around, he agreed to after the 1st gulf war, after 9/11, over concerns about WMD because we just got attacked. Bush is bad.
